Signing

The signing system used at school is called Signalong.

At school we offer a variety of training sessions for families, carers and professionals involved with our school.

• Introduction ( approximately 1 hour)
• Workshops
• Certificated Foundation course

If you are interested in attending please contact the school office and your details will be passed to the schools Communication Support Coordinator. (CSC) 

This section illustrates how the signing of the keywords is utilised. There is a selection of signing videos which provide a brief account of an event, learning activity or class trips.

We believe this will provide a useful reference point when talking with your child about what they have been doing at school. Illustrating how the key words are signed.

It would be wonderful in the future to post videos of our students communicating their experiences on our school website. However presently we respect your apprehension in consenting to this.  To try to alleviate these concerns we have decided to proceed with a member of school staff providing the account and modelling the signing on the video.
